I have an Aquaclear 200 Filter. I woke up to it not working this morning. I poked the motor with a pen, and it started going again. I put water and it started running again. But, it hasn't had very much power and not going very hard. What should I do? Is it safe for now?

Take it apart, clean the impeller, case & intake tube with water. Tap water will do for this, if you clean the media use only tank or fresh dechlored water. Keep the media wet while cleaning the case, impeller & intake tube.

Wait, doesn't the bacteria go in the intake tube? And what is the filter media, the sponge and the two other bags?

Yeah, the intake tube is so clogged it appears.

When you take the impellar out, there is a metal peice that is at the end of the impellar. You have to scrap that with something like a butter knife or something to get the growth off that part in order for it to work properly. The motor acts like a generator that causes a magntic effect which makes the impellar go round.
you must scrap that impellar bottom piece which is metal. It is a dark metal at the end. :)

I cleaned out everything properly, and rinsed out the filter. It's running great.
