Filter Media

What do you class as filter media?
Got some wadding type stuff from my brothers tank, but unsure if this would be the correct filter media?
Where do I put it exactly in my filter? I have a Marina S10 filter that takes cartridges, would his filter water be ideal instead, as I cant seem to think a little bit of wadding will be able to fit anywhere in my filtration system. Please help urgently

You could try and sqeeze out your brothers media into your filters intake, really ring it out so your filter can suck in as much debri and fingers crossed some beneficial bacteria to.

You will have to cut and shape the filter pad into your filter. Hope this helps

+1, this is a better option if you can get access inside your cartidge.
