Hi fish fans, Could someone please give me some advice?
My Rena tank (see sig) has been running for one year now. So far I've not had any problems and everything seems to be running ok.
I'm running a Rena XP2 filter. I change different parts of the media every coulpe of months.
One part of the media is the Boi Chem Zorb which over the year I have changed three times. Do need this anylonger? If so why? and if not what should I put in place of it?

Cheers Brads :good:

Bio chem zorb is Renas utility activated carbon plus adsorption resins, will remove colours, dyes, tannins and other pollutants from the water.
Personally I tend to use carbon etc only for removing meds, would not use it long term
I would put extra biological media in its place

Steve :)

Cheers for that K.O.D
Anyone else got anything further to add? I'd like all the advice I can get. I can't find any info on Boi Chem Zorb
Cheers Brads :good:

Same as really. I wouldnt use biozorb without reason. Activated carbon does almost the same anyway.

I would put as much biological as you can in its place, thats what its all about really.
