I have changed my whole filtration system. i got a biowheel set up and when I switched over I took the sponge from the old and put it in behind the new carbon filter piece. The only thing is I see small things in the water you cant see it until you get close but look like bubles but are not. Does anyone know ho wlong it wil take before the water clears to crystal clear again?

Are you shure they aren't little 'microbubbles'? It could also be a bacterial bloom starting out - but that'll clear on its own soon enough - just check your water parameters and do some extra water changes with de-chlorinated tap water to speed things along.

I have a BioWheel filter and I to have these little specs. Watch them a bit. Mine are bubbles, I ruled out a bloom after about a month or so of nothing but the tiny specs with all water values remaining in check and nothing more came of them. If they are bubbles, watch them as they near the surface, you'll see a shine to them then they disapear..into the air. Hopefully that's all it is. Good luck!

I think it is a combo of both. My plastic plants have a bit of discoloration so I took them out and washed them. The water stats are ptetty good I am jsut caraing it with water changes. the others are bubbles. Does it clear up after a bit?Thanks for the info. I appreciate it!
