Filter Media For Planted Tank W/ Fish

what kind of media should i put in my tank with fish and plants?

The same media as with only fish. If you have a heavily planted tank, you might not need biological media as the plants take care of that..but unless it's really planted, you neeed bio media.

Just to clear up some confusion I have, What about charcoal? I've been tod that if you are fertilizind using chrcoal is counterproductive.
