Filter Making A Strange Sound

where the water comes out every now and then it makes a loud gulping sound like its got a big air bubble trapped does anyone know what this is or how to stop it please?

Whay kind of filter is it? In general, if it's an air bubble, you can gently tilt the filter while it's running and the air will come out.

Yes, as fluttermoth said, turn it on its side. I'm not suggesting you don't clean your filter, but when was the last time? Did you clean around the impeller? What about where the water comes out from?

not sure about what filter it is its the one that came with the tank auqa one 850

its all new in it so it should be clean plus i did clean everything when i got it just cos i like to know everything is spotless lol

its just where the water comes out every now and then it makes a big gulp sound never noticed it before, i'm still cycling it so no fish in there or anything

yes not quite at the top though cos i did a water change and didnt fill it back to the top

Just checking, because sometimes my filter in my crabitat makes a weird noise when the water level gets too low.
