I am not exactly new to fish keeping, but I just recently set up a new aquarium, which is the first one that I have kept in over three years. I purchased a Whisper aquarium filter, and there is constantly water dripping down the power cord and flooding the corner of the room where the aquarium is kept. I would rather not have to purchase another filter because money is tight right now. Does anyone have any tips on how to fix this?

Is this a hang-on-back filter? If so, you'll probably find it's not quite level and that's what's making the drip.

Yes, it's a hanging on the back filter. I'll try to adjust it.

After adjusting the filter and even going so far as to tape the bottom of it with plumber's tape, I have given up as the leak has gotten progressively worse throughout the day. I just called my wife, who is taking our daughter to the doctor, and asked her to pick up a new filter. Hopefully, that will do the trick.

Maybe for the best, though I don't have much experience with HOB filters (just my son's Edge!). Don't forget to transfer all your biomedia into the new filter! :good:
