My parents have gone on holiday and left me to look after thier tropical fish tank, i have been feeding and cleaning the tank as instructed. but we have a filter/ air tank thing in there and i swear it was bubbling but not now, it hasnt stopped the moter is still running, im not sure what to do.

any help is really apprecited, im a complete amateur!!

is you have an airpump than you will be getting bubbles, if you are not getting bubbles and it is an airpump (provide a picture to help us determin what it is if you are unsure) then going out and buying a new air pump will do no harm (make sure you get the money of your parents  )

Check to be sure you plugged it back in. Is there algae covering it? If so it may just need to be cleaned. A picture would help.

There is also a plastic hose that need to be plugged back into the air stone. Maybe that is not plugged in. You will see the hole in the pump.

Do you know what sort of pump it is? Some have a motor attached which you can simply take off the main part (keep it under water). Giving that a quick clean and in the case of my trio2000 a smart tap and then plugging in again always seems to solve the prob. :good:
