Filter For Cichlid Tank

No. I didn't mean that. I meant that I had read that an optimum filteration is one where in you have a water cycle of about 10x per hour. Now given the volume of my tank (425 lt.) the water output of this filter is much low say about 1700 LPH. I am apprehensive that whether this can take the load of my tank or not.

Obviously there is no point adding in another filter when you have such a huge filter running. It is quite costly too.

My current stocking is Oscar, two parrots, two severams, red devil, four cats, salvini. My water stats after one week of running Ehiem (of course right now two internal filters are also running to cycle the Ehiem. I will remove those eventually)

Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 20

hate to be the bearer of bad bews but you are way overstocked. the oscar alone needs 75g minimum teh same with sevs plus youve got a red devil and a salvini along with the 4 cats and the parrots. you need to do a serious rthinning of your stock im afraid
