Okay, so here is my issue.

I just brought a new female betta home today and introduced her into my community tank. She has been getting along very well with her tank mates. Her main problem this far has been related to the filter. The outflow from our filter pushes her down towards the bottom of the tank anytime she swims through it. I was simply wondering if any of you had dealt with this problem and if there was any remedy other than removing the filter or just making the poor gal deal with it :-(

It is a Tetra whisper 10 gallon filter and the outflow is not too strong.

Thanks in advance

She has really blue eyes which are difficult to see in the pic

Is it just when she tries to swim through the filter flow? Does she have any problem with the current it makes in the rest of the tank?
If not, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Plus she's probably just not used to having to swim against any kind of current so needs to build up her muscles.

Oh.. and she's a total cutie!!

Just give her time to memorize all the currents in your tank.
I'm sure she'll learn to avoid them.
