Fluval Chi filter I think is failing. I say think because the water comes up out of the top of the filter and that part keeps stopping, but I still see suction happening at the bottom where the lights are. Can't do nothing tonight either, typical!

How can I best keep the fish ok until I can get to pets at home and get a replacement?

50% (or more, dpending on your stocking levels) daily water changes :good:

When I had this tank, it did this when I did water changes. and because of an airlock!

tilt the filter 45 degree and let the air out and it should start up.

Yep the flow differs after a water change, done the tilt and back again. It would restart but stop a short while later.

Have taken the filter apart (easier than I thought) and checked and cleaned the impeller. Waiting to see if it stops again. Either way it'll be going back tomorrow, too much stress!!

I had the tank for a whole week and got rid tbh.

water evaporated to quick and was to small for anything!

bought a 2nd hand 180l instead for not much more than I payed for that.

I regret buying it, because I want to have more fish and can't. My betta happy enough in there though. And it's perfect size for the kitchen. Have already been looking for my next tank. Much bigger!!

Well since I've taken it apart and cleaned the impeller, was only a small amount of gunk on it. It's not stopped. Still taking it back though, what a worry that was.
