Filter Choice

After some advice with regards to getting a filter, setting up a small (48ltr) tank, have had tanks before, but sold last one about 18 months ago.  The filter which came with my tank is an internal one, and I am not a fan of them, and I prefer external ones, any advice as a good one to go for?  Have been looking at the Eheim aquacompact 60?  any suggestions would be great

I personally use an eheim classic 2213 on my 30l tank, seems to suit well but doesn't have the bells and whistles of the aquacompact.

I prefer the ones made by aqueon. They last a long time and almost every pet store sells them and the re-fill cartrages.
