Filter Change Over

i have just changed my filter (aqua one aquis 1050) for an aqua one cf 1200.

the 1050 came with my 190ltr tank and the cf 1200 came with my new 300ltr tank.

for the last week i just ran the 1050 on the new tank but today i realised it took the same media and trays. so what i did is take the media trays from my old filter and put them in the new and plug it in. there is also an extra tray in the 1200 with round plastic balls in however it is missing the sponge on top of it, so i left that in and put mine ontop with my sponges and ceramics etc.

will this be ok? as really i have just changed the surround and top part and also added another tray of filter media to what was already filtering the tank

obviously i need to get the other sponge tomorrow

As long as you've used all, or nearly all, of your old media you should be fine. As always feed sparingly and do a bit of extra testing for the next week or so to make sure everything's settled in properly
