I am setting up a 150ltr lake tank, and the filter I intend to use is a Rena XP1 rated at 200 ltr tank capacity 750ltr an hour. Will this be OK to cope with a well stocked lake tank or should I upgrade? I was given the tank and filter so I would like to use it if I can.

Thanks, Mark.

That filter should be fine, i'd setup the tank and see how you go but i don't think you'll need another one, even for an Mbuna tank. :)

That's pretty much the sum of it. Bio-filtration won't be a problem, but you may find the need for more to handle the physical waste. Try it out and see.

OK thanks, I`ll feel more confident in the system now. I also have a sand bed filter to try on it as well. Any experience with these?

Thanks, Mark.
