Filter And Heaters Been Off All Night!

Hi,
the fiter and heater have been switched off since about 7 last night until 2 this morning ,temperature has only gone down from 24 to 22 ,but concerned about my filter media ,especially since the tank is still cycling ,will it have been affected in any way?my tank is 28l

Anyone ,have read that if filter switched off for more than 3 hrs ,the bacteria in the media die ,is this true ,and how will i know?

tbh I bought my tank used. It was emptied and brought over to me and left for hours and the media was still fine. I've heard conflicting things on this. My lfs said it takes only minutes to die. But like I said my tank was eptied for hours and all switched off before being brought to me and it was fine. Still cycled.

Thanks for that Marie,my fish seem to be alright still ,fingers crossed ,temp only went down 2 degrees,thank god it wasn`t winter,oh well,these things are sent to try us!!

Yeah the temp should have been ok and it wasn't too long. I wouldn't worry tbh.
