Hey good people,

My cousin was visiting last night and told me I had to add more water. To make the waterline at the bottom of the top frame on the tank. Is this correct?

Because I figured it needed to be one to two inches. So when the water breaks from a slightly higher elevation, the oxygen process can work more effectively.

Hmmmmmm....

you could put a little more water in but if you were happy with it i wouldn't bother. also some tanks can leak from having water right up to the rim. the water seems to crawl up the rim and down the front and sides of the tank

It's personal preferenceI reckon, and if you are talking about oxygenating effectiveness - I don't think it will make much difference at all.

Irf.

I agree -- personal preference. I keep mine up to the black rim b/c the HOB filter is alot quiter hitting the water closer to it as oppossed ot 2 inches down! :fish:
