Hi, this is my proposed stocking plan for a 25 gallon 36 inch long tank

1 F8 puffer
4-5 bumblee gobies

basically what I want to know is can I put anything else in there? If not I'll probably go fresh and get some SAP's because they can have more tankmates...

thanks

that would be ok i would just have 4 to make it no so crampt, however the sap's u could prob get 2 and alot more options

Have a quick read of this thread Demon, should give you a better idea of stocking.
Puffers
DarkEntity knows his stuff when it comes to Puffers so worth checking what he has to say about it.

you can certainly have more tankmates assuming you have good filtration and do regular water changes.

you can def up your BBGs to 10-12

you could add half beaks for the top layer

or some glassfish in the middle layers.

Florida Flag fish are an option also.

you cant have thats many bbgs and theres no way for halfbeaks, they require 35g up if i recall

my decision basically hinges on this.

SW bacteria are different from fW right? would a change from FW to 1.005 kill off my filter bacteria? I have a fully cycled 25 gallon (fresh) and I don't want to have wasted my time lol. If it does then I'll get the SAP's

thanks

SW bacteria is different from FW bacteria BUT 1.005 is not considered saltwater. neale monks has posted several times that you can raise your SG from 1.000-1.005 without a problem. To be on the safe side, you could do it in a couple of stages and keep an eye on ammonia/nitrites. Really though it shouldnt be a problem. In my experience here, when Neale posts something, you can take it to the bank :)

Nope, you can go from fresh to 1.005 in a day without problem. I did it and im sure Neale has mentioned it in a few posts before also. Fig8's or SAPS, Fig8's without a 2nd thought. Fig8's are far more entertaining and interactive. SAPS you may need to look at manual dental work, which from what ive seen can be somewhat traumatic for keeper and fish alike.

You can get 2 Fig8's in a 25 Gall Long and some BBg's if there is some decent over filtration and you are up to speed with excess food removal etc.

Edit

Just a note about the water issue, your main concern firstly is how does the fish shop sell their Fig8's and what SG, you should then try to match that as close as possible, or do a drip acclimatisation over a few hours.
