Figure 8 Feeding/sick?

My figure 8 has for the last week or so had a very lumpy belly. Before when he'd eat he'd just get round and plump. Now he always has lumps in his belly. I suspect he may have eaten a few rocks? If that's possible. Anyone ever heard of this before? He has lost some weight too and is a bit pale but seem other wise healthy.

what are your water parameters? the dull color could be from stress from a number of possible problems. losing weight could be a sign of parasites. have you seen your puffer poo recently? if so was it white and/or stringy or was it nice and dark and solid? i've seen my figure eight's belly get lumpy as he is going to the bathroom, but then gets smooth again once he gets it out of his system.
