I have two oscars (90gal) bought at the same time at the same age and both were about 3". Its been about 3 months now and one is almost 6" but the other is maybe just 4". I was hoping this would be a female but who would ever know. The question is the larger one was doing this funny thing with his tail to the smaller one the other day and I've seen him do it a few times since. He brushes up really close then swims across the front of the smaller one then when his tail is right in the face of the small one he vibrates it very, very fast for about 5 seconds then swims off, then it all happens again? They have had a few small fights but mostly just hang around next to each other.
Any idea what this behaviour means?
Also the small one doesnt seem to eat anywhere as much as the big one too?

Thanks

hes just trying to act tough and scare the other one. It probably only does it when your thier because it thinks your going to feed him and wants all the food to himself.
With 90gal they should be able to stay apart if they really wanted to.
Oscars are cool they do weird stuff like that all the time. And seem to really come alive when they know your watching them. showoffs.
