tonight I got two new fiddler crabs, my first ever. an hour after they were in the tank I went to check on them. . .and one was gone! I looked every where, under rock and everywhere so I started to look out side but I still had no luck. :dunno:
could a small male climb an air line tube? I still dont know how he got out or where.
How long can he live with out food and water?

It's possible that it climbed out, but I'd make double sure it isn't still in the tank somehow. My brothers gets into the wierdest tiniest places in the tank, so check decorations and plants very carefully. Then start looking on the floor, any dark places near the tank where he could have run off to, they are really frightened when you first get them so they'll try to hide right away.

Not to be a pain, but which tank are these in? I just want to make sure, because most people don't know that fiddlers are brackish.

if you cant find him soon try puting plates of water on the floor with a bit of food in em too it might lure him out.

Good news! i found him :hyper: . he was still in the tank cleaverly discised as a piece of gravel! oh well, but at least he is still their. I now know that they really enjoy ghost shrimp, at least they enjoy eating them  . but l appreciate the helpful comment, and as usual, my fish and inverts have taught me a thing or two.
