Hey! I fianlly got my tank today! :p Its a 35 gallon hexagon with alot of stuff but no fishies or gravel. lol. I'm so happy right now. But anyways, it came with alot of test stuff like Ph and Kh and Ammino( m/s?) and Nitrite. I know I need to get a Nitrate though. lol. But yea, this would be my first tank to cycle, would a fishless or fish cycle be better??? If I do a fish cycle could I use cories? I am soo exciterd to actually get some fish in there! lol. :fun: But I guess there is alot of patience in fishkeeping. Oh, btw, I plan on getting 6 bronze cories, 6-8 harlequin raspboras, 6-8 lemon tetras, and a dwarf gourami. lol. OK well thanks for any replys!!!!

There is little / no reason NOT to do a fishless cycle. No point putting your fish through the cycle when there is an alternative!

Good luck with the tank.

hiya jenga.
i would definatly go with the fishless cycle much kinder on fish. read up on the topics on the beginners section they will tell you all about it.
its really exciting getting fish but patience is the essence here. take it from me i learnt the hard way & tried to cycle with fish before finding this forum & lost most of them. fishless is the way.
good luck with it all & most of all enjoy your tank & fish when you get them.
