Well, on sunday, i got some new shrimps from a local fish shop (which had some very cool fish, including a lungfish among other things...). The shrimps cleaned the whole tank, but i woke up on monday, and one of them was dead, and there was tonnes (and i mean tonnes!!) of shrimp poo, and then this morning, i found another dead, so i only have 4 now, and they are all in my 4g, because of pooing problems lol. If anyone can think of a cleaner (not snails...) thats reasonably small and will clean my glass and what ever else, then that would be good... Anyway, heres some pics:

Some shots of the shrimps in the bag acclimitising: (anyone know what i should feed them? Algea wafers etc? Or can i just give them flake once it sinks and bloodworms and stuff?)

Lovely fishes you got there and from what I can make out I like your tank too.

As for the shrimp they eat anything and everything! They will eat algae wafer, flakes and bloodworms. Great addition to a tank. :good: Do you find yours are shy or do they come out alot?

Come out loads, but like i say, they were in there for only two days...
Theres some more pics in one of the posts i made a few days ago, with full tank shots etc.

Thanks, Mikey

CAC, is this eel for lake Tanganyika? I have been looking for one for my tank and that one looks great! :good: how big does it get?

The Eels are beautiful!
Nice shrimp. I can see a really good female shrimp there.
You got a Lungfish :hyper: wicked! One of the best person to talk to Lungfish to is Richard Hardwick of Wharf Aquatics. Seriously nice, experienced guy.

No radar, i didnt get it lol.
They get like 3 feet, but i was just saying, amazing animal, and it was pretty big aswell.
The eels arent tanganyikan, but they could work....
How would i go about breeding the shrimps?

For more pics of my fish, look here: http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=167923&hl=

Thanks, Mikey

Oh right. Sorry i misunderstood.
Contact Mr G to find out how to go about breeding the Amanos. Theyre quite tricky.

Thanks radar, ive been reading some of the topics on here and on the net, and it sounds pretty hard, but i may try it, thanks alot.

those half banded eels are great, mine was so active is yours??it was the first eel i ever had

I didnt know you had a half banded!?!?
What size did he/she grow to?

Yeah mines very active, allways swims up and down the glass when i come over to the tank, he much more active than the others...
I cant actually find one of my yellowtails at the moment, so im assumeing hes burried somewhere...
Tomorrow, im going to my LFS to pick up a tank for a planted project, so im hopefully going to get a plec of some sort, but im not sure if they will have any...We'll see.

Thanks, Mikey

yeah i had a 5-6"banded eel for about 10 months it was one of the first fish i ever brought, but it never grew.then i got a big fire eel which terrorised it non stop so it had to go :(

Oh right cool, they are great, wish id got two of them to be honest....
I dont think hes gonna get much bigger, but he has grown a little since ive had him, been on a staple diet of bloodworms, with daphnia, brineshrimp etc thrown in, so hes doin good.

Mikey
