You have a lovely garden angelmouse. :good: Looks like a lot of hard work, but well worth it.

Ok, I definitely replied to this earlier but it obviously didn't work.

Looks lovely and colourful! I love the little pond area, looks really natural with the ferns.

Stunning garden, you have green fingers ;)

Thanks guys. I love my little pool, it really attracts wildlife, at the moment its full of tadpoles and a couple of newts and frogs and it attracts lovely dragonflies, i like watching the birds have a little bath in it too. Love to see some pics of other members gardens.

Aww that sounds so nice, must be lovely to see wildlife breeding and thriving in a little pond that you made.

We used to have a wildlife pond that held tadpoles year after year but then my parents got freaked out when we found a grass snake swimming around in it, needless to say the pond was quickly filled in :( . Would love another one though, grass snakes don't bother me, all wildlife would be welcome!

edit: How do you manage to keep the little pool from going green and stagnant? I feel that if I did something like that it would soon resemble pea soup :S

i have a pump hiden under the pebbles that runs water up through a uv filter hiden behind rocks then back through 2 waterfalls into the pool and it keeps it crystal clear, shallow pools go green really quick without a uv especially if they get alot of sun on them. I built it for the kids to paddle in, my little one is always in there with a net and bucket catching tadpoles and pond skaters.

Ahh right I see. I would really love a small wildlife pond by my exotic bit. How much do UV filters cost? Is the pool just a hole with pond liner covered with pebbles?

Sorry about all the questions

yep its basicly a hole with a deep bit to cover pump with a grid over the deep bit then covered with the pebbles. i bought an heavy duty liner and covered it above and below liner with matting so it won't peirce the liner when the kids walk in it. The filter is a basic pond filter about £40 and i change the uv bulb every summer, the bulbs are quite cheap. i would recomend a powerful pump though if you want to have waterfalls.

Lovely Pix,
Nice little POnd, Liek the grid idea for kiddies and helps to protect the Wildlife.

Can I ask What the 1st flower is, really like that.

It is so odd how frogs and stuff just find ponds. Cool that you have them breeding. Your pictures are beautiful! :)
