I've not been able to find much on the subject of WHEN to dose Potassium, therefore, I would be grateful for any views and opions on my dosing schedule.

I`m not sure what you mean, but you are dosing Potassium when you put in your sulphates, nitrates and phosphates.

I dose Potassium Nitrate and Potassium Phosphate every other day.

Hi, thanks for your response. I dose Pot Nitrate and Pot Phos every other day too, but I think I have a Potassium deficient, hence the extra potassium dosing. My problem is that all the articles on dosing schedules that I have found only every refer to the timing of dosing Pot Nitrate and Pot Phosphate, never any mention of frequency etc for Potassium Sulphate.

Cheers

20 gal with 45w:

1/4 teaspoon 2x a week KNO3
1/16th of KH2PO4 2x a week
5mls of Tropica master grow 2x a week
GH booster, once a week day of water change.
50% weekly water change

For algae issues, try adding about 10-20 ADA shrimp.
They should make fairly good work of it.
Excel can help if the CO2 is loused up.
Good water movermenet and surface flow helps, you lose a little CO2, but the fish do not suffer.

You may also get better results by switching from Leaf Zone to Tropica AquaCare Nutrition or Seachem Flourish as your trace source.

API Leaf Zone's only trace is Fe. Somewhat ironically it also contains K, so that may be your problem, some other trace defs.

Many thanks.

I assume I can make these up in to mixes with RO water too? My calc's suggest that the above equals targets:
KN03 c. 11ppm
KH2P04 c. 2-3ppm
Does that sound about right?
