Ferocious fish

Surprisingly my mates zebra danios killed his angelfish, I wasn't away zebra danios were agrrisive, but thats why i'm here to learn

what other agrrevsive fish should i expect to be ferocious, especially against angelfish as i am soon to own a pair, and unlike my mate don't want to find some half eaten angelfish floating in my tank.

My understanding is that Tiger Barbs and Angel fish are not a good combination because Tigers can fin nip.

However, this is only what I have read/been told. Never experimented!

Zebra danios aern't half as vicious as tiger barbs, but they do best in large groups and their hyper active behavior can stress other slower and more peaceful fish out if in close quarters and they have been known to nip long fancy tailed fish.
How many gallons is your new angel tank going to be and how many angels are you planning on having in it? Its difficult to advise you suitable fish otherwise for your tank.

I'd be interested to see if the danios were
a ) kept in a group smaller than 5
b ) kept in a tank less than 24" long
