I was supposidely sold a pair of Rams. They are small and one is definately a male but I am not sure about the other as it does not have a purple hue around its belly. However, its colours are not as vibrant. Do females only develope the purple hue if they want to breed?

Thanks.

Sold as "Blue Rams", which I believe are the Germans.

Thanks.

yes, blue/german rams, only get a "Red" belly when they want to breed. if you can show pics it will be easyier for us to say. but do you 2 rams, look oposite? ie, one has a large part on the front of the dorsal fin. an one doesnt

I think I do have 2 males but then there are instances I am not sure. The one that does look like a definate male chases the other one about. The "female" one does not stop to square up or anything.

I will try to take a photo to post. Thanks.
