Hi,

My female adult platy is sending all her time on the bottom. She can swim but it looks hard work. She keeps falling on her side. She has managed to get from one side of the tan to the other.

I have treated the fish with melafix for over a week. -_-

Also see http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=156966. This particular platy mention above has no visble lumps.

Sadly she not in a good way the bacteria infection has advanced to far, as she has developed swim bladder now, i would put her in a container at the top of the tank, so it more comfortable for her, sorry.

maracyn Two is a wonder.... do as wilder said put the tablets in that container so she gets a bit of more medecine first then the whole tank to stop other infections

I believe maracyn Two is not avalible in the Uk. Any other meds I can use which are in the UK? What about API Pimafix?

No you would need something like anti internal bacteria med by interpet, though she might not be strong enough for the meds, good luck.

i'm from the uk and use waterlife treatments i find them excellent.
hope this helps.
i have never had a platy with these problems(very hardy),could she be pregnant?and having trouble giving birth

No, you will need interpet anti internal bacteria med or waterlfie myxazin.

Are these ok to use with Melafix. I have stopped using melafix a few days ago and put in the black carbon.

No don't add the melafix it had it uses, but don't need it for this.

I put in the interpet no.9 interna bacteria.

She has now deleloped fin rot.

any ideas?

Not good then as she now has come down with a secondary bacterial infection finrot, fingers crossed, but it dosn't look good, sorry.

Not allowed to mix them but i have as long as aeration is good, but i would only mix meds when the fish is issolated on its own.

hi

just to let you know she died.

I am still worrrid about the others. ( see link above) i have lost another platy.

i have used no .9 anti internal bacteria, but does not have seemed to help. i think the bumps have got worse.

any ideas?
