Yesterday night i recieved some platies from three-fingers. ONe of them has what looks to be like a gravid spot, does that mean its female? The other one doesnt have one.
This should help, its the same for most livebearers
The females anal fin, notice its fan like shape The gravid stop, where any fry develope, most females show there gravid spot even when not pregnant The males gonopdium (sp?) which is basically his penis
If you do have one female one male then i would recommend getting another female to reduse stress
If both male they may be ok but if you see any chasing nipping then you'll need more males
If both female they should be fine
Nice to see them in a good home .
I was told to catch two males at the time, must have been your dad who told me to, if you want a female or two you can have some more .
