one of my female bettas has a worm (forget the specific name) that have attached itself to her, i have the nessasary medicine and wanted to isolate her for treatement. i have an extra 10 gal, it had been all the females home until i moved them to the 25 gal. anyway that was several months ago and i accidentally left the filter on until a few weeks ago. so obviously the tank isnt cycled anymore. yesterday i got the tank, filter etc up and running again, changed half the water (which, yes, i was too lazy to dump out) and cleaned up a lil. there is no visible algea or anything, infact when you look at it, the tank looks like a fish could live in there.

anyway, question: COULD my female stay in there or no? if a problem will arise then i will not move her, or if there is a problem that i could fix to make the tank safe for her please let me know.

Bettas are pretty hardy fish I think it would be fine... maybe add some live plants and if you got a power filter use one spondge from your 25gal filter and put it into your 10 gal filter, that will help bacteria build up.

The only sure answer for that is to check your water. You definitely need to quarantine her, and it is imortant that her water is in pristine conditions for her recovery. If she has a worm, she isn't as hardy as other bettas are, so I wouldn't put her in non-perfect water. And you need to not use carbon if you're using meds...the carbon if it is 1-3 days old will clean out the meds. Get a test kit and test your water. If you have a bowl to treat her in and know how much water it holds, then try that until you can get the tank clean. Test your water every day. Good luck.
