In with one of my male bettas I had placed 3 females to mate. Turns out one of those is a PK male as he has built a very large bubble nest and is currently wrapped in a mating embrace with a female. Now I have to carefully remove the other female and the other male without disturbing them. Not to mention I'm not really sure I even want PKs lol
Interesting morning to say the least

they stopped spawning but how am i supposed to tell if the eggs have been placed in the nest yest or not

i cant tell whats a bubble and whats an egg inside the styrofoam cup lol
im screwed

i def dont see anything so must not have happened yet
about how long does it usually take from spawning to drop?

and just as I typed that they started spawning agn wth lol

Are they wrapping fully? As in are they doing this?

My paradise fish tend to do some "Practise wraps" before she actually releases any eggs, which usually happens after lights out anyway. Then she only releases about 5 eggs at a time, I wake up in the morning and there's a nest full of eggs.

i think she might be dropping eggs now but im fairly blind so its hard to tell

You'll know once they finish because he will be hunting for any that have escaped and putting them back in the nest.

see no matter how much research you do to be prepared beforehand they still dont tell you everything lol

I currently have a nest full of paradise fish eggs. They started wrapping last night at about 11:30 and I now have a very large nest full. All I can say is even though I leave my male and female together but they are different species, I think male and female betta's would need to be separated after so dad can look after the eggs and babies.

yah that part i know
but even though im pretty positive there are eggs in there now i still cant see them hahaa
