Female Living In Breeding Tank?

HI there,
Im going to start breeding once i get the female form kgbettas,shes gorgeous(if i can convince my dad ) So,ive got the breeding tank and everything,but not a tank for the female...would it be possible for the female to live in the breeding tank,and when im going to start breeding(which will be a lil longer-last minute research) pot her in a glass chimney and then add the male. I know they say to add them the same time(with her going in the glass chimney for the male to see her but not to get to her),so i wasnt sure if this would effect the spawning process.
Please help ASAp as i want to order her before shes gone :cry:

If you mean can you leave the female in the breeding tank after the breeding has been completed then I think not, it would stress both male and females out no end.

Also if you have no tank for her now how do you plan to deal with the future spawn.

Please re-think the matter out a little, you need a separate tank for the female after the spawning and then what are you going to do with the male once the fry are free swimming and don't need the male anymore ?

The males are fien in their own lil tanks. I forgot about having to take the fmeale out after the spawning process and leaving the male in there for a few more days tending the fry. I was wonderrin if the female could be in the tank just always,even before the breeding process but dont worry now,il get her her own tank

Yes please, cause if the male gets too stressed he will eat the fry and then you will lose them as well.

She'll be fine in the same tanks that you have the males in, i just prefer to have a group, although I might have to keep one on her own when I get her as one of my CTs is a bit evil

Sorry Zoe, can I rearrange what you said as I read it that 'you can keep the female in the SAME tank as the male,' when I know you meant 'a tank the same as the male is in'.

Ooops I didnt read that back, yes I meant the same type of tank not together with the male!
