hi all

i am a bit worry as my female kribs has dispear only had the pair about 2/3 weeks they are in a tank with guppies, mollies, platy, shordtails, tetras, catfish and pleco. the question will she go into hiding if she as had some eggs and if so how long will she be in the cave for.

thanks in advances

Do you have a actual pair? Or are they both girls? If they are an actual pair, she may have eggs.

yes they are a pair one male and a female. got a boat in the tank that they are using and notice the last couple of days the male is attacking the catfish when they got over to by the boat. the female was out on thursday night and then not seen her but she hasnt had anythink to eat today

She probably has eggs. Just wait and see!

i found her dead on friday night. the male is attack every fish he see know. i cant bring any fish in or find a new home for him as i got fin rot in the tank that i am treating at the minute. any advice how to calm him down a bit

Check where she was protecting. There may be fry. Sometimes males think that they should be the sole parents( or vise versa) and they attack the opposite sex. Then they terrorize the whole tank.

:( i've got up this morning and found that exactly the same thing has happened to my female. she's dead after what would appear to be have laid eggs in the sunken car i have.. im gutted as she was by far the prettiest fish in the tank. im gonna have a look later to see if there are any fry in the car.......

:( :( :( :(
