My female guppy has a black gravid spot, also the same with one of my platies.

I realise these are pregnant and will be out soon.

But one of my female guppies hasnt got a black gravid spot, its reddish, whats that mean?

Some Livebearers have that. It usually depends on coloring. Is your Guppy, by any chance, yellow or blonde or orangish or white?

If she's not, it may be a problem. It can be a sign it's empty. It can be a sign the eggs aren't fertilized yet, and it will start going brown, and black as the fry's eyes develop. Or, it can just mean the fry turned around and you cannot see their eyes anymore. Is this a constant thing, it being reddish?

Its yellow and white.

When their gravid spot gets smaller it usualy means theyre ready to lay doesnt it?

When it gets smaller, it usually means they either had some fry, or they aborted some fry. :)

Edit: Also, in some cases, it may look smaller if the fry turn around. Usually they turn around after lights out though.
