The area near her top fin is white and it looks like the fin's been damage some how. Is it normal for females to nip each other? I also wonder if she swam too close to the whisper filter I have and maybe got injured. Can a guppy bounce back from such an injury?

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

If you has white edging to fins its bacterial finrot.

Five Gallon tank holding 4 fancy female fancy guppies. There is no white edging to the fins it looks like something bit her, near the back fin. The other three are swimming just fine, the fry in the tank are also swimming just fine. I'll have the water stats later today.

Can you load a pic up.
If there no sign of white, red, or pink edging, nipped fins can heal or there own in good water quality.

Nitrites: .25
Ammonia: 0
Nitrates: 10

This is really weird, the water is pretty much fine. I wonder if she swam under the whisper filter and was hurt by it.

.25ppm nitrite? That's not very good. That can cause fish death, actually. Did you recently cycle the tank?

Yes this tank has been cycled for about 2-3 weeks so far. I've had not real problem. I'm though moving the guppies to a bigger tank tonight. Because I think what's been happening is that they swim too close to the whisper filter. Aka under it directly and get caught and hur themselves.

I did a 50% change on the holding tank, the new tank is heating slowly.

You need to keep doing water changes and increase aeration.
The tanks is overstocked slightly.

Thanks, yeah, I agree. I'm going to move them all to a larger one tonight.

Sounding better.
Good Luck.
