Female Bettas

You can and it's recommended a minimum of 4 females to a 10 gallon tank.

The reason is because the more dominant ones will pick on the less dominant ones and can kill them; by having more females it spreads the agression out so no one fish is picked on.

Can you put multiple female bettas in one tank?
A friend of mine has over 6 females in her tank, thats not saying it will work for everyone. There is always a bully in a pack. Its a lot of observation, keeping your eye on them constantly to see if they are all getting on and evicting the bullies. Once the pecking order has been established they all know their places and harmony is established. You can also have a male in with the females, once again this does not work all the time. I have one male and three females living very well together. :good:

It may take a little bit of time but it can be achieved in the end. It's always nice to have a beautiful set of females together. :D

I have 8 females in my 200ltr, and they get along well with only the occasional scrap, with no serious injury done.
They're a lot of fun to watch together, and when you stick your hand in the tank they all gather together to investigate and see if you're edible :D
