Which part of the aquarium do they swim at, (upper, middle or lower)?

Will they fet along with cories?

I have 3 of them in my 29 gallon with 3 cories, is 3 female bqttas a good number?

Will they eat red cherry shrimp?

I've found that my females swim at all levels of the tank they're very curious and love to explore everywhere!

in 95% of cases they get along just fine with cories!

The ideal number is 5 or more with lots of plants and hiding spaces. With a 29 gallon tank you can easily add 3 more females

I've had males eat shrimp I dont know about females

Do they make good community fish? I hope.

They can and they can't, which is why people recommend not to try in the first place. An all girls tank can make for interesting viewing, just as much as any community tank. You can't beat a live planted girls tank!

Keep in mind that, if you do try out them in a community, your going to need a set up running in case things don't work out and you need to remove them or the other fish.. money and space saving.. just stick to an all girls tank to start with :)

Gow many can be pot into a 29 gallon?

Is current an absolutle no no with fem bettas?

As AmberLynn has already said, another 3 girls would fit well into the tank. A little current is ok, but obviously nothing that is going to cause them trouble.

in a 29 gallon, I would plant it really pretty and heavy, use some lovely driftwood...make it really showy. then pending on how many corys you have and how mature the filter is I would get about 10 girls in total, that would give each 2.9 gallons of space. 15 girls would give you 1.9999 gallons of swimming space, only if you have very quite and sweet girls, but I might cut out the corys.

a little filter flow is good in a female tank...as long as its not slamming them into walls it will help prevent total dead spots for them to face off in.
