Female Bettas & Male Guppies

I wouldn't want to chance it really. Male guppies with their long, flowing tails could end up being a target for fin nipping/shredding by the female bettas. Anything that resembles a male betta with its flowing fins is likely to get attacked at some point.

If your tank is large enough you could always put in a tank divider - that way you could keep female bettas one side and your guppies the other! Remember you need to have at least 3 female bettas together, not two or they will fight.

Yep Athena is right, it really isnt a good idea, your guppies will be tail-less

Ok, not what I was hoping for but thanks for letting me know before I went out and made a mistake.

Looks like we're going to be looking for another type of fish to go in the tank :)

I have four female fighters in my 55gal with male and female guppies with no probs at all the fighters are not even interested in the guppies more interested in when they are next getting fed lol
But that might be just my betta girls others might be different though.

I removed my 4 male guppies from my 12 gal before adding my females, as I really didn't want to take the risk.
