Female bettas at the LFS

Hi Everyone,
just in case anyone can resist anything but temptation, my LFS (Deepdale Aquatic Centre nr Sandy, Bedfordshire) has some female bettas in. I have a male from the same breeder and they are gorgeous. They had a scarlet male as well which I had to drag myself forcibly away from.

female bettas are very hard to get, i've asked both my local aquatics and
been to loads of out of town ones, they all say the same , that female
bettas dont transport very well and always ended up dying not long
after reaching the shops , hence they stopped ordering them, so you are
luky then to have them in your shop, afraid it's to far away from were
i live. pitty.

I've never heard that about female bettas, but then it all depends on how they're shipped. As goes for all fish.

Rose. Looks like you'll have to take a trip to the Bayou soon then, he's got some new fish for sale.

Plenty of females round here - I've got one that I've had for about 18 months now and she was about 1 year when I got her. She's slowing down now, and lives an easy life in my community tank.
