Anyone have any experience keeping these 2 together? I'm trying to get a 55 gallon set up and still cannot decide on its inhabitants. I THINK I'd like to have some angelfish, perhaps some rams (assuming those 2 get along - I still don't know yet), and it occurs to me that it'd be nice to have some female bettas perhaps. Anyone have experience good or bad with those combinations in the same tank?

A completely separate thought: Can female bettas live with zebra danios?

I dont know about the anglefish but you should be able to keep females with danios as females dont have the long fins for the danios to nip so much.

hm..I suppose it would depend on the angels. I have a pair that I wouldnt hesitate to throw in with females, and I have a pair that are twin terrors. So You might want to have a plan B, just in case.

Hmm... would it matter, do you think, if the angels were babies and grew up with the female bettas?

that would definately help out.

Infact, thats most likely going to be your best bet...but also keep in mind the females may bully the angels. Just be prepared. ^_^

Okay. Will be getting the angels very young, so hopefully this won't be an issue if I do it. Thanks everyone!!

Females can be notoriously more aggressive than males. So depends on the temperament of them towards the angels.
