i just so happened to have been looking into my tank when i saw my female betta darting around the tank and flipping around on the plants(didn't look like she was fooling around). before i saw this i also noticed shes been hanging around the top corner of the tank almost every hour of the day.

with the other 2 females, i haven't been seen darting around but i have noticed them hanging around either under the plants or the other corners of the tank, like the other female.

is there something wrong with them or is this just how they are? i've had them for more than 4 months now and i haven't seen them act this way until the last 2 weeks or so

is it like flicking against somthing>? she could have parasites, post in emergency section and have a pic if you can,, that all sounds like ill fish behavior.

does it look like she is trying to scratch herself. its possible that she might have ick, i would go with azul and post in the emergency post section with a picture if you can.

yea she is flicking around a bit. not at an alarming frequency though. this is actually the first time i've ever seen any of my bettas flick around.

she looks perfectly healthy though no damage to the fins, nothing strange looking from the exterior. i doubt pictures would provide any insight because she looks exceptionally well if she was ill.

if she has parasites should i be worried about the other fish in the tank? does her hanging around the corners of the tank have anything to do with this?
