I've been doing reasearch and I found out that FEMALE bettas are good tropical community fish. Is that true and if it is would they go with the fish in my tank? If they'll eat the fry I'm not planning on adding many more fish untill the fry are fullgrown/ given away or sold. But if they won't eat the fry and if they'll go in my tank I'd like to add one, or two. :D
Thanks

No way, f. bettas will eat fry. Matter of fact, pretty much all bettas will. Except my boy, Red Baron :D . He's a good one. Each is different, but most likely, they will eat the fry.

All fish that don't care for their fry (Once they are free swimming) eat their fish...e.g betta male eats the fish once the fish start swimming horizontally and not just hang off the egg vertically ;) However other fish e.g. discus care for their fish and even produce mucus stuff on their body to help feed the fry :D
