Guys

As far as I am aware all of my fish should be fine with shrimp but possibly the female betta.

I would really like some shrimp as I have a low clean up crew count in my tank, I like the look of yellow sherry shrimp as so bright!

Has anyone got any experience with bettas and shrimp? I know a lot depends on the personality, my one has never been overly aggressive but does hunt baby fish and occasionally bombs down on neons below it.

Any ideas?

Rob

Yes, but I can't help you much because it depends on the individual Betta. It does sound like your Betta would have a go at shrimp.

Most people recommend ghost shrimp with betta as they are larger.

Ultimately it depends on your betta. I have bee shrimp and red cherry shimp in with one of my males and he doens't even notice them...so it does 100% depend on your betta.

I can also vouch for red cherry shrimp, and they do a grand job of keeping my betta's tank clean.

I had a bunch of ghost shrimp in my girls tank but after a accident I lost them but once they get a feel for your fish food they will only eat that lol

I had cherry shrimp with my betta Lunar for over 6 months (maybe even 8 months) and he never paid attention to them! But then all of a sudden he saw them as food and within a week he either just killed them or ate over 2 dozen!

So no more shrimp with any of my bettas
