Ok I posted in the betta forum about my females lip sticking out! I decided to try and push the lip back into place but it wouldnt budge, unfortunately the female jumped out of my net and onto the floor and when I picked her up it looked like she was bleeding so I put her back in the tank whilst I sorted out a salt bath for her! Well I looked at her in the tank and what I originally thought was blood looked like a bloodworm poking through the skin! Has anyone ever heard of a parasitic worm that does this or is it possible that a bloodworm has burried its way into her as I have been feeding bloodworms recently? She has been like this now for over 4 days and I have given her two salt baths to date.

Please can someone help me as I have no idea what to do next

Was they live bloodworms or frozen.i would sterlise a pair of tweezers, soak a cloth in tank water and wrap her in it, and remove the worm from her mouth.
Then i would use maracyn two for the mould on her mouth.
