I want to separate one of my girls from my sorority; however I’m not sure which is the best one to separate?
I have a fin nipper (although I might just put her in a breeding trap for a few hours – it worked last time with a different girl). I’ve had her 3 weeks now (the nipping isn’t much but she’s the only one that does it).
I have a bloater – I used to feed pellets; now I feed flakes and she still bloats (not loads); my other bloater stopped bloating once I’d switched to flakes.
I have a tiny yellow girl (and this is one I think I’d like to separate); however it took her ages to settle into a sorority; but I’d like to separate her more because she’s tiny; quite thin and is suffering from ammonia burns (the other girls are fine and the ammonia is fine) – it’s just in a smaller tank I can regulate her water more and keep an eye on it; even maybe put a bit stuff in her water to help her tail along. However as it took her a while to settle in I’m a bit dubious about moving her.
What do you all think would be the best option?
