Ok, I have a large tank that I use for my tropical community of fish (I collect species of Platys, Swordtails, some angel fish, and Cory Cats) and I also have my male Betta in there, well, did, he is currently in a small separate Betta bowl recovering from a cat attack (one of my cats was able to open the lid and swipe at them, I had a recent post about it yesterday) and he is always fine wih the other fish, my male Bettas (I only keep one at a time) seem perfectly fine with my other fish, but I was wondering if the next Betta I'm getting (a female) would do good with the other fish? Are they more territorial? Wanting their own space? Or will they be ok?

1 female in a community tank should be fine.
If you want more than one, then 4/5 minimum or they bully each other.
I have 4 in with my platy's & Oto's & they get along fine, in fact one of my smallest platy's often shoos them away from food

if you are planning on putting the male back in the community then the female betta cannot be placed in there as they will most likely fight, resulting in the death of one or both of them, but if you arent going to put the male back then i think that you could keep the female in there, i would just watch out with the angle fish, as they usually arent compatible :good:

Female bettas will do splended it your tank, as said above if you want more than one, get at least four to even out any bullying.
