Female Betta? Just Checking...

Hi - as I've just learnt how to download pics I thought I'd take this opportunity to check something with you guys...

From these pics are you able to tell me if this is definitely a female Betta? She was sold as a female but I've seen pics of males that look similar.

You can't see her beautiful colour too well in these pics, by the way - she is a gorgeous purplish blue.

Yeah, she is a lovely colour - those photos don't do her justice, though. I sat for half an hour with my mobile phone pointed at the tank trying to get a decent shot of her under the light but she is just too quick and camera-shy LOL!

She's lovely - and if you couldn't capture the colour on camera, one can only imagine...

Check her underside for the ovipositor.. I was just shocked to find out one of my ''females'' was actually a plakat male... and I've had the bugger for 2 years!!
