Female Betta In Trouble

Good Evening. I have got a female siamese fighter and she appears to have an open wound round the top of her mouth and she cannot fully close her mouth. what is wrong with her?
please help....i am really worried about her!

sounds like she has either had a fight or got caught.

does she have any other tank mates?

usually injures like this heal well with good water, regular changes majorly help.

just keep an eye out for secondary infections, like it looking slimy, cotton wool like etc.

don't worry if shes healthy she'll do well

Most wounds like this heal with clean water and good care. Don't worry to much, my Oscar had a giant wound on the top of his head but it healed after a month. I agree with Haych that you should keep an eye out for infection. That could be very bad, but again don't worry to much
