Female Betta Compatible Tank Mates

Hiya.
I'm interested in adding 1 female betta to my tank, so i have been doing a little research and reading things online but im getting different answers...
I have a 165 litre tank that has community fish; mollies, platies, guppies, swordtails, neon tetra, danio
Would she be ok living with these?

I'm not too sure, it would be possible however it's not advised. Bettas are best kept alone and even mixing female bettas with other female bettas can be tricky.

Just been reading another topic 'who is in your betta tank' and I notice there is one with female bettas and other community fish.

Every fish is an individual with its own character and behaviour traits;
however my understanding is that, in general, female Bettas can be kept together
and one female can be kept in a community tank -

It really does depend on the other fish in with her - if she has long fins they are at risk
of being nipped, particularly from Tetras and Barbs.
My male had to be moved because the Loaches would take sly nips overnight, the tetras and barbs
ignored him.

I see no harm giving it a go - but keep an eye on her welfare and have a Plan B that you can action !

i kept my school of 7 female's with cory's ,Clown Loaches ,Neons ,Guppy's,Rainbows and for about 2 weeks before tank upgrade there was angel's in there too ! This was all in a 42Gallon tank

All Fish have their own personality so some may work while other's don't . Have the tank set up with lots of hiding places some tall plants as this will break up their line of vision and stop the fighting (if they do ) . Thermore females you have will also lesser any aggression amongst them

I have also yet to see a female betta with extremely long finnage ,most commonly it is the males that have the extravagant finnage to entice the female and flare at any opposing males .

I know numerous people who have kept female groups in community tanks with no problem's at all . It's just about finding the right balance and tankmates for the betta's

my tank is very well planted, with numerous hiding places.

If I see the right girl, then I may try adding her to my tank.
