female betta community

hi all!

i am planning a 20 gal long female community. i am looking for any and all suggestions for tankmates, set up, hardware, etc. i was thinking :

sand substrate,
live and silk plants
6 females?
4 zebra danios (who are cramped in my 10 gal community right now) will they be okay?
cories?

feel free to offer any and all advice!

That sounds great. Maybe some little caves or tubes for the girls to hide in and the cories too. I have a tank similar to yours with sand and live plants plus a big cave and some tubes but I've only got 4 girls in there at the moment. I still get trouble in there though as Roxy the VT in my avatar is a big bully. I quite often see the other girls hiding themselves in the amazon sword plants

i am not sure what size fliter/heater i need for a 20 Long, can anyone help me out with what to look for (gallons per hour, wattage, etc)? is there anywhere here that has the info? i looked in the hardware and beginners sections, but didn't see any there...

Wou wou wou. There you go. Getting more females. LOL You can have 10 females without problems.

Filterwise, a Fluval 2 will be fine. Thats whats on my 18 gallon. Sounds good, I'd like female bettas but it means that I won't have enough room for a cory breeding programme..... Maybe later though.
