How often do you feed your fish? I read 3 times a day some places, 1 time a day other places. I don't want to starve my pets, but overfeeding and dirtying up the tank is a bother.

Does it depend on the amount of fish, or what kind they are?

Also, my grandmother decided to go ahead and do whatever she wanted and bought a goldfish and put it in my tank with my tetras and corys. I know goldfish are pretty dirty, so should I leave it in there, and is it okay to be in there? It doesnt seem to be aggressive to the other fish, but I have a feeling they shouldnt go together all that well.

I feed mine once a day. As for the goldfish, take it back! They're not suitable for a tropical aquarium and your tank is probably not big enough for it anyway.

How big should a tank be for a goldfish, out of curiosity? I have a 29 gal, but don't they usually grow depending on the tank size, or is that just really dumb?

Thanks for the quick reply. I only feed mine once a day also, but then my mother tries to go on about how I'm cleary starving my fish and sneaks in feedings when Im not looking. Uneducated family = not a good idea for a fishtank.

I feed mine twice a day - usually 8am in the morning and 8pm in the evening.

And yes, take the goldfish back or get it it's own bowl. It needs a lot more space and different temperature.

I didn't literally mean 'bowl'. Yes, they need a lot of space. I have no idea why I used the word bowl to be honest with you.

I feed my fish Granulas one day and flakes the other . I feed them twice a day at 9am and 9pm.
